Let's make a deal

Posted By on Tue, Dec 15, 2009 at 3:01 PM

A somewhat new entity to the local arts scene: the ARTworks Agency, an online buyer's guide to original Colorado art. Headed by locals Nadine Sage and Liz Szabo, the Agency (which has already hosted two weekend shows this month) works to network artists with buyers and to promote original artwork over store-bought posters. According to its mission statement, ARTworks aims to "provide art enthusiasts with an extensive portfolio of original (and yes, affordable) quality artwork to meet residential and corporate art needs."

On today's e-mail blast is another branch in the enterprise, studio300, twice-monthly announcement of works priced at $300 or less that the Agency recommends.

While $100 may still be out of reach for some of us on a piece of art, ARTworks shows promise as a professional entity that could bring together parts of the local scene.

One work on studio300s wish list.
