Eco-Art Sale

Posted By on Tue, Jan 5, 2010 at 9:45 AM

Smokebrush Gallery's Eco-Art Market will hold a two-day sale this weekend, marking 30 percent off its remaining goods. This show and sale, which officially ended in December, features wearable, functional and decorative art made by Colorado artists. Kat and Bob Tudor will also present "recycled paintings" at the sale, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 5 Saturday.

The gallery will then close for the rest of the month for planning but will open on the First Friday of February with its all-new show Extreme Ice Survey, a photographic exhibition by James Balog, who tracks the melting of glaciers with both a scientific and artistic angle. Balog, a renowned photographer and environmental scientist, holds an impressive portfolio that includes work for National Geographic, Outside, Audubon, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and Time.
