U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, who has so far been pretty impressive in his support for health insurance reform, will be addressing that very subject during a noon “meet and greet” Friday, January 8, at Tejon Street’s Rasta Pasta (insert your own medical marijuana joke here).
The Bob Marley-revering eatery is, of course, mere inches away from Bennet’s downtown headquarters, and the appearance is slated to last an hour.
Sadly, that won’t leave a whole lot of time for chanting “Tell the truth,” “Read page 417,” “Stop euthanizing grandma” and “The tree of liberty must, from time to time, be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

Rasta Pasta is located at 405 N. Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs. The event is free and open to the public.
We should note that Bennet’s appearance last year at the downtown Penrose Library was packed, so the extremely cautious have the option of making advance reservations online.
