Benefit for Haiti at The Ritz

Posted By on Fri, Jan 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM

The Ritz Grill, in partnership with Bristol Brewing Co., will be hosting a benefit concert tonight from 9 until 1:30. The concert, organized with admirable speed, will feature local musicians including Chuck Snow and the Lo-Fi Cowboys, Andy Clifton, and Ginger's Hotter.

With estimates that as many as 3 million people have been affected by the catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti Tuesday, many of whom are still without food and water, local musician Dave Weed of Head Full of Zombies felt it was clear that help was needed immediately. Phone calls to friends and colleagues at The Ritz Grill, Bristol Brewing, and to musicians around town confirmed that many agreed. The Benefit for Haiti was quickly organized; all funds raised at Friday night's event will be donated to the American Red Cross.

All proceeds from purchased Bristol beers will be donated to the relief effort, and the bands have waived their traditional appearance fees. Contact Dave Weed at 302-2945 for more.
