Volleyball legend in the Springs tomorrow

Posted by Edie Adelstein on Fri, Jan 22, 2010 at 2:49 PM

If you know volleyball, you know Karch Kiraly. As the winningest player in the sport, he is the man. Kiraly, an Olympic gold medalist for both indoor and beach courts, has been named the volleyball player of the century. As with Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky, it doesn't take much research to get up to speed at how good this guy was during his career. But unlike the aforementioned athletes, you can actually see Kiraly in person tomorrow.

Kiraly will be at Big House Sports (1480 N. Newport Road, 637-1171) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. to speak on "mental toughness" and then to run the gym with kids. The event is free and open to the public.

Be sure to arrive early for a prime chance to meet Kiraly.
