A senatorial standoff, at last

Posted By on Mon, Feb 15, 2010 at 11:58 AM

U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet and Andrew Romanoff crossed paths at an El Paso County Democratic Party Central Committee meeting on Feb. 6, but in some ways they might as well have been in different rooms: There was no debate, exchange of pleasantries or even, that I could see, a handshake between the two candidates, who are vying for their party's nomination in this year's U.S. Senate race. (The Indy's story on that event is here.)

But Lynn Bartels at the Denver Post writes that an actual forum with the two candidates is on the table for 8 p.m. tomorrow at St. Cajetan’s Church at Ninth and Lawrence on Denver's Auraria Campus. Advance tickets for the general public are apparently sold out, but there should be some available at the door, if you want to make the trip. Visit denveryoungdems.org for details.
