Talking green

What better time to think green than in the brown, dreary dead of winter?

Good news, the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center is holding two more free lectures where you can learn about saving energy and growing vegetables.

Word to the wise: Show up a little early for the gardening lecture. Larry Stebbins has been packing lecture halls with these how-to speeches as of late.

Here's the info:

The Garden of the Gods FREE Winter Lecture Series continues this month with lectures on Sundays, February 21 and 28 at 2 p.m. in the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center theater. Reservations are not required; however seating is first come first served. Donations are welcome.

Pikes Peak Urban Gardens - "The Beginners Vegetable Guide for Success"

Sunday, February 28, 2 - 3 p.m.
Colorado Energy Audits - "What You Should Know About Home Energy Audits”
Join Phil Anthony to learn more about home energy audits, how you can be more energy efficient, and why you might want an energy audit done on your home.
