From the Listings desk: March 10 marks National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. According to the Southern Colorado AIDS Project (S-CAP), more than 200 women in El Paso County are living with HIV or AIDS, and throughout the entire country, a woman tests positive for AIDS every 35 minutes.

While there have been medical advances in HIV care and treatment, the social stigma persists, causing women to avoid testing and treatment.

To help, S-CAP will offer free walk-in testing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at its office (1301 S. Eighth St., #200).
