
Bets are the USOC will offer programs at the center or do something to prevent its closure. All the city's community centers are in jeopardy due to budget cuts. Only the Westside Center received interest from a church group to keep that center going.
The city recently entered into a multimillion deal to provide a downtown headquarters for the USOC and improve its training center in exchange for a 25-year commitment from the USOC to keep its home base here.
