It's kind of lazy philanthropy, but philanthropy nonetheless: All you have to do is shop at the 7635 N. Academy Blvd. Whole Foods Market between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, May 4), and 5 percent of your purchase will go to the Colorado College Community Kitchen.

Whatever your take is on big-box stores (even the greenies like Whole Foods), you can't argue that giving away 5 percent of a full day's sales is at all insignificant. Now's a good time to stock up on any 365 Everyday Value products.

The Community Kitchen, for those unfamiliar, is a 17-year-old, student-run soup kitchen that serves between 80 and 150 folks every Sunday.
