Jason R. Clark, a Tea Party-inclined candidate for Colorado governor, has taken his search for a Lieutenant Governor running mate (or, as 5280 puts it, a Robin to his Batman) straight to the people.
The 30-year-old gubernatorial candidate currently has ad up on Craigslist
seeking a compatible candidate for the $68,500-per year position.
An Aurora businessman and former Army officer, Clark says the response to the ad has been “spectacular,” which is surprising given the glamorous telephone solicitor and dental assistant ads that dominate Craiglist.
A visit to Clark's website reveals a combination of Constitutionalist fervor and motivational jargon:
“Stay Positive! Think Positive!! Act Positive!!! Be Positive!!!!” suggests the candidate (twice) on the home page.
Another call to action — “We can do better Colorado!! The PEOPLE first!!! We can, we will, we must!!!!” — is repeated no fewer than a dozen times.
Total Exclamation Point Tally = 128. Don’t delay, call today!!!!!
