Being old and cheap just got easier

Posted By on Mon, May 24, 2010 at 10:04 AM

Popular culture has us all believing that being an old fart is a bad thing.

What a bunch of bull.

There are many benefits to aging: wisdom, grace, and, of course, senior discounts.

Great news on that last front: Next year, you'll be able to buy a lifetime pass to Colorado state parks for $150 if you're 64 years old or older.

Yep. Buy the Aspen Leaf Lifetime Senior Pass starting on January 1, 2011, and you'll never have to pay to get into a Colorado state park again.

You can buy the passes at state parks, the Colorado State Parks Denver office, the Southeast Region office in Colorado Springs, the Rocky Mountain region office in Clifton near Grand Junction and the Littleton office. Visit http://parks.state.co.us/ParksPasses/ for a complete list of retail outlets.

Hey Herb, can you believe how much those young suckers pay for this?
