Colorado takes the cake with most Tea Party members

According to a survey from the Rasmussen Reports, 33 percent of voters in Colorado consider themselves members of the Tea Party movement.

That's two points higher than Alabama and Kentucky, making our state No. 1 in the nation for Tea Party members. Nationwide, only 24 percent of voters say they associate with the party.

The states with the lowest rate of Tea Party association were Hawaii, North Dakota and Vermont.

According to the same report, while those in Colorado are more likely to be members of the anti-big government protest movement, they're less likely to feel overtaxed. 61 percent of voters in the state believe America is overtaxed, but that view is held by 66 percent of voters nationally.
