Help in choosing a doc

Not sure what doctor to choose?

Patients in Colorado Springs now have a local online resource designed to help them take control of their health care. MedicalVoyce.com has launched its public web portal, giving patients free access to a physician directory that enables them to research doctors and find one who is right for them, the company says in a press release.

The directory lets potential patients check to see what insurance is accepted by a doctor and study their educational background, specialty and certifications.

In addition to the directory, the MedicalVoyce.com public site provides viewers with specific information about health care in Colorado Springs, highlighting featured physicians, providers and resources within the community. The site is a single location offering links to a wide range of local health information from children’s health to seniors.

While Medical Voyce is expanding across the state, Colorado Springs is the first community to benefit from the public portal.

For physicians, the public portal links directly to the professional portal that offers specific tools and resources for doctors. The professional directory includes physicians along the Front Range allowing them to speak to each other and refer patients with a connected HIPAA-compliant communication tool. The professional site also provides a Library of Business Information and a host of effective tools to help doctors run their practices efficiently.
