Mark and MMJ: The blog (Updated)

Update, 3:08 p.m.: A reminder that the CSMCC is holding its monthly mixer tonight at 7 in the basement of The Ritz Grill.

The Colorado Springs Medical Cannabis Council recently welcomed Mark Slaugh as its membership director. Slaugh wasted no time diving into his new position, visiting centers throughout the city to push the group's membership rolls to more than 20. Now, he wants to talk to you.

Well, not you. Yeah, you in the corner. OK, he probably wants to talk to all of you. So he launched his new blog, Medical Marijuana Colorado, with this opening salvo:

The CSMCC takes a progressive stance on this industry as do its industry members, constitutionally-protected patients, and public supporters. With an estimated 10,000 patients in Colorado Springs alone, the CSMCC represents a large constituency of this single-issue votership in Colorado. Not only do these patients vote to protect their right to better, safer, and cheaper medicine, their family members also see the benefit of this plant and represent thousands more who favor a positive role in shaping this future green wave in Colorado and across America.

In future posts, look for "objective truth about this issue and its economic, social, and medical benefit for Colorado and its citizens."

Aww, yeah.
