The Associated Press is reporting that Republican candidate for governor Dan Maes has selected former state Rep. Tambor Williams as his running mate.

Williams, an attorney from Greeley, served four terms in the Colorado House. She was executive director of the Department of Regulatory Agencies under Republican Gov. Bill Owens, the AP reports, which noted its report was based on a source who didn't want to be identified because he wasn't authorized to make the announcement.

Democratic candidate John Hickenlooper, mayor of Denver, picked Colorado State University-Pueblo President Joe Garcia to be his running mate. Doug Campbell is the running mate for American Constitution Party challenger Tom Tancredo.
