Five fine films from Telluride

Posted By on Mon, Sep 13, 2010 at 5:15 PM

Matt Stevens, from Kimball's Peak Three Theater and the Indie Spirit Film Festival, just spent a few days at the Telluride Film Festival. On the phone today, he offered a short list of movies with which he was impressed.

Look out for these (whether at Kimball's or elsewhere) this winter:

1) Danny Boyle's trapped-climber flick, 127 Hours.

2) The Carey Mulligan thriller Never Let Me Go.

3) Black Swan, from Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky.

Well be waiting until Dec. 1 to find out how Darren Aronofsky plans to take us to the dark side this time.

4) The latest dramatic Javier Bardem vehicle, Biutiful.

5) The story of King George VI, The King's Speech.
