From the bargain-hunter's bag

Posted By on Sun, Oct 24, 2010 at 5:29 PM

I love a good swap. This past weekend's Repeat Boutique, hosted by the Pikes Peak Justice and Peace Commission (and sponsored by the Independent), saw more than 75 ladies through its doors, swappin' clothes and savin' the Earth. (Well, at least recycling a bit.)

I saw today on Mountain Chalet's website that the Colorado Mountain Club and El Paso County Search and Rescue are hosting a Gear Swap, for any non-motorized, outdoor-related gear (think backpacking, climbing, skiing, etc.) A one-buck donation will get you in the door (money supports EPCSR) and there's no fee required to sell your stuff.

Donate your buck to help these folks keep on keeping on.

It's from 9 a.m. to noon, Nov. 6 at the El Paso County Search and Rescue building, 3950 Interpark Drive. For more information, contact Chris at zompopo2004@yahoo.com or 719/332-9990.
