Some brief food and drink news:

First up: Denver's Leopold Bros. distillery will appear on the Cooking Channel tonight, Nov. 1 at 8:30 according to this post. If you miss it, look for several rerun times through Nov. 8.

Next: Last Friday, Bristol Brewing Company and the Smokebrush Foundation announced a call for artists for the fourth annual beer label contest for the Smokebrush Porter. The deadline for entry is Dec. 10. (Disclosure: The Indy is sponsoring the contest.)

Third: News that's actually not bitter from the American Organic Hop Grower Association regarding the regulation of organic hops in organic beers.

Lastly: An update from the gluten-free brewers at New Planet Beer on their forthcoming pale ale, due out before the new year.
