Local News Mike Merrifield running for Council District 3

Democrat Mike Merrifield was term-limited as a state representative for District 18, and lost a bid to serve as an El Paso County Commissioner this November to Peggy Littleton.

But Merrifield hasn't given up on politics. Yesterday he filed paperwork to run for City Council District 3. Merrifield is thus far the only candidate running for the seat.
