Steve Wind spent most of last year railing against medical marijuana, appearing at City Council and county commissioner meetings repeatedly. He then started Let Us Vote COS, a group of like-minded folks who were gathering signatures to place an MMJ ban on the November or April ballot. Later, having missed the deadline for the November ballot, Wind said he planned to make the April one, and would turn in all his material on Dec. 15.
Well, having passed that deadline by a good three weeks, it appears that the November county vote on MMJ may have sated Wind's need for public input, or he just couldn't drum up the signatures. Either way, the City Clerk's office confirms that it has not received any material from the activist. As well, his website appears to be offline, his Facebook page is gone and his group's phone number and e-mail are inactive as well.
