Every day, you should be grateful for something.
And today, I am grateful that I don't rely on the Colorado Springs Mountain Metropolitan Transit System.
For years, I've heard from busriders who tell me that it takes them three freakin' hours to get somewhere that takes me 10 minutes in my car. As if that's not bad enough, the transit system has been cut back over the years (it costs money after all), making it even more likely that you'll end up stranded somewhere.
I've got to be honest here: If I needed a bus to get around, I'd move to Denver. Where they have light rail!
But believe it or not, there is a group of people working on ways to make the transit system better here in the Springs. Right now, they're conducting a study and looking for ideas. You can check the whole thing out at www.FutureOfRegionalTransit.com.
