The dreamy "Glass Jar" is Gang Gang Dance's latest work of postmodern trance, dance, what-have-you genius. It'll be properly released as a limited-edition 12-inch on April 4, and then again on May 10 as the lead track on their forthcoming Eye Contact album. So your time-traveling Indy staff had to work extra hard to bring the song to this very page.
Gang Gang Dance, as you'll no doubt recall, was featured in the pages of the Indy the last time they made it through Colorado. (You can go read the interview here.)
Since then, the NYC hipsters have signed to the U.K.'s prestigious 4AD Records. They've also snagged publishing royalties from Florence & the Machine, after she admitted to lifting the intro from their "House Jam" for her Top 20 single, "Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)."
The band heads out on a two-month European tour in early April, after which they'll be hitting the U.S. concert circuit for our live listening pleasure.
