Doctors Manuel Aquino and Paul Bregman will both have to refrain from recommending medical marijuana to folks, but for different reasons.
The Denver Post reports that Aquino is voluntarily surrendering his license before the Colorado Medical Board can take it — as the board is seeking to do — after he recommended MMJ to a woman who was six months pregnant.
As for Bregman, his situation is slightly more mysterious.
Medical Board documents provide little explanation for Bregman's suspension, saying cryptically that an investigative panel received information that Bregman has a condition that has harmed his ability to serve his patients.
Bregman, the panel wrote, "has engaged in a treatment for his physical or mental illness or condition that may cause cognitive deficiencies."
We've e-mailed the good doctor and will update this post if he responds.
