Ballots to be mailed March 16

In case you aren’t confused enough about this election, there is one more monkey wrench to throw into the big pile.

While the city election calendar indicates that mail ballots start going out to active voters on March 11, that’s not actually the case.

City Clerk Kathryn Young will drop all the mail ballots in the mail on Wednesday, March 16, according to city spokesperson Sue Skiffington-Blumberg, who notes that the city clerk always arranges a single date to mail ballots with the U.S. Postal Service, because it allows the agency to plan for the extra glut of mail.
