Shots from the 2011 Chef's Gala

As I promised yesterday, here's a brief rundown on this past Sunday's Colorado Springs Chorale Chefs' Gala event.

Charles Court at the Broadmoors chef Greg Barnhill earned Best of Show for his Fourth of July in March plate. Bryce Crawford and I completely agreed with the judges on this decision. It was hands down, inarguably the tightest dish in the competition.

I figured a slideshow of dish descriptions and food porn, as well as the winners' circle would be a fun way to get a small taste for the event.

Note: Not every competitor is pictured (a few of my photos didn't quite come out usable), and I've arranged them to show the dish name, followed by a picture of the food.

Once you get to the winners platform, you'll see culinarians from the following outfits:

Appetizers
1) Motif
2) Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
3) Giuseppe's Old Depot Restaurant

Entrées
1) Charles Court at The Broadmoor
2) The Famous
3) El Paso Club

Desserts
1) Antlers Hilton
2) Taste of India
3) The Blue Star
