Denver Botanic Gardens unveils summer schedule

Yep, as promised last week, here's the full Denver Botanic Gardens 2011 concert schedule. Of course, this is way more information than I can type without risking carpal tunnel syndrome and a ton of typos. So here, in true cut-and-paste blogging tradition, here's today's Swallow Hill Music Association press release — followed by a clip from Piano Players Rarely Ever Play Together, in which Allen Toussaint performs and talks about his most beautiful song, ever.

2011 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
AT DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS

DENVER— Denver Botanic Gardens and the Swallow Hill Music Association, the Gardens’ concert promotions partner, today announce the 2011 Summer Concert Series lineup.

Situated inside one of the nation’s top botanic gardens, the 2011 Summer Concert Series at Denver Botanic Gardens’ UMB Bank Amphitheater will offer an unrivaled ambience of thousands of blooming plants and the crystal clear music of some of the world’s most sought-after artists.

Ticket sales for Denver Botanic Gardens members begin on April 25, 2011. Six tickets per membership, per show are allowed. Membership to the Gardens does not guarantee availability of tickets.
