Elaine Naleski has spent the past 13 years as director of Communications for Colorado Springs School District 11.
On June 30, she will be moving on.
She will be replaced by Devra Ashby. According to a press release, Ashby has a history in broadcast journalism. She has worked for the district as an instructional media specialist, and prior to that for the city of Colorado Springs as a communications specialist.
"She's ready to dive in," Naleski says of Ashby. "She knows exactly what she is doing."
For Naleski, the next step in her career will be communications consulting as well as working with her daughters to launch a business called Lessons on Life, which, she says, will teach life lessons to teen girls.
So no more 9 to 5 for Naleski?
She laughs. "How about 9 to 9, 9 to midnight, or 24-7?"
You are invited to a “meet and greet” to say goodbye to Elaine and to welcome Devra and get to know her better on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 2-3 p.m. in the Board of Education Room of the District’s administration building, located at 1115 North El Paso St.
Elaine wants each of you to know that it has been her honor and privilege to work with you for the past 13 years. Thank you so much for your support and cooperation over the years. She is looking forward to new and different challenges in her retirement.
