When it comes to power quality and reliability, price, customer relations and other measures, Colorado Springs Utilities is ranked third in the western region in the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study released today.
While Springs Utilities ranked 16th overall last year and this year, "when you break it down to a regional level, we were fourth last year and third this year," Utilities spokeswoman Natalie Eckhart says.
The two utilities placing above the Springs both are located in the Pacific Northwest.
What's notable about this year's results is that Springs Utilities last year scored 663, compared to this year's 672.
"I think it speaks highly of our leadership, our staff and our citizen owners that are partnering with us in making decisions and staying committed to the segments represented in this survey," Eckhart says. "We're making improvements and we're proud of that."
