Whether we know it or not, most of us have a friend or a loved one who actually loves running.
I know, shocking! What the hell is wrong with these people? Don't they realize that running is acceptable only if you do it for your health while at the same time hating every second of it and praying that it will soon be over? Haven't these people heard of bicycles?
But anyway, if you happen to suffer from a love of running, or you know someone who does, their otherwise useless affliction can be put to a good purpose between 4 and 7 on Monday, July 26. At the Briargate Salsa Brava weekly run, they're collecting $10 donations for SET Family Medical Clinics, which help serve uninsured men, women and children in our community. In exchange for a donation, Salsa Brava is giving donors a free drink. Which should give all those runners a few moments to consider better ways they could be spending their free time.
