Medical Marijuana / Marijuana A look at the MMJ lawsuit filed against the state

We've extensively covered the efforts of advocate Kathleen Chippi and her Patient and Caregiver Rights Litigation Project to overturn portions of two previous medical marijuana bills passed by the state of Colorado. Initially, she attempted to have the state Supreme Court hear the case, but she was forced to start at the bottom when that request was denied.
Recently, the group filed an amended lawsuit to take recent developments into account — which Chippi, in an e-mail, calls "a damn good attack on what the state has done to harm patient and caregiver access to MMJ." Here's a look:
