You can start tonight with the Gonzalo Bergara Quartet and Mango fan Django, performing in the intimacy of the First Congregational Church. Bergara is a much-acclaimed native Argentinian guitarist who began playing professionally in Buenos Aires, and both groups are heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of France.
Then on Saturday night, Cucuru Gallery Café is having its "5.5 Year Anniversary" (any excuse for a party), with some of the town's best jazz musicians. Jason Crowe, Henrique De Alameida, John Dawson and Todd Gustaffson hit the patio at 6, followed by Mistura Bela at 9.
Sunday afternoon, treat your hangover with more jazz at the Pikes Peak Jazz & Swing Society's monthly gathering, featuring a performance by the Jacob Herold Quartet (which includes Leftover Salmon's Greg Garrison on bass). Sunday evening, shift over to western swing with Hot Club of Cowtown at Venue 515.
And finally, we've got one more blues legend heading our way, as Ronnie Baker Brooks comes to the Crystola Roadhouse next Wednesday.
