Brewing up some business

You and I, we may not have much in common, but I think we’d both agree that generally, beer makes things better. (Everything looks rosier with those beer googles on.) So while expanding your professional network probably sounds appealing, increasing it brewery-style probably sounds even better.

Catamount Institute’s Pikes Peak Sustainable Business Network (PPSBN) will present the next Local Connection Series event Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Bristol Brewing Company (1647 S. Tejon St.).

Catamount Institute promotes sustainability with environmental science education and programs for schools and businesses. It's all about encouraging the local community to take responsibility for their home environment.

This Local Connection event will host professionals representing a range of businesses in and around the Colorado Springs area. It’s a prime opportunity to develop relationships and support the success of your business.

The mingling starts at 5:30 p.m. with the beer tour following at 6.

The cost is $5 for members of PPSBN and $15 for non-members. (And yes, the price includes the beer tour.)

Bonus: If you RSVP by Aug. 15, then your first beer is free. So I would get on that — because the only thing better than beer is free beer.
