Unemployment trailer stolen

No one likes having their stuff stolen.

But it seems particularly sad when nonprofits and other "helper" agencies fall victim to these crimes. The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is charged with helping the unemployed access benefits and look for jobs — a huge priority in these economic times. Yet, Tuesday night, someone decided to steal their trailer.

That trailer is used to help the unemployed. Guess it's another bit of bad luck for our citizens who already have so little of it.

PPWFC Trailer Stolen from Parking Lot

August 24, 2011, Colorado Springs, CO — The Pikes Peak Workforce Center trailer used to transport equipment to and from its satellite offices was stolen from the PPWFC parking lot at 2306 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 last night.

PPWFC is asking the public to be on the lookout for the missing trailer:

2005 Haulmark Trailer
7 X 14 feet
White with PPWFC logo painted on each side
Plate number CO 529JDE

The trailer was used to help job seekers and the unemployed and is, in essence, community property.

Anyone with any information about the trailer should contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at 444.7000.
