The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam embodies the height of sensory overload. You stand in room after room of vivid masterpieces. The big hitters like "Sunflowers," "The Yellow House" and "Wheatfield With Crows" knock you out, and then the smaller works, pleasant still-lifes of poppies and books, tug at your heartstrings. It's intense, bright and emotional, a museum bursting at the seams.
With that, here's something to look forward to: Becoming Van Gogh, a 70-piece exhibit of Van Gogh works, will come to the Denver Art Museum next October.
