Day-long Denver concert and rally Saturday

Posted By on Fri, Oct 21, 2011 at 11:55 AM

While local protesters continue their vigil in Acacia Park, Occupation Wall Street supporters may want to venture north this Saturday for an all-day Occupy Denver concert and rally.

Performers at the Civic Center Park rally, scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., will include Flobots' Jonny 5, as well as BLKHRTS, Bedrockk, Rubedo, Whomp Truck, Bedrockk and Hollagramz and more.

The event was organized by Sole, the alter ego of Tim Holland, who cofounded the anticon label and is a powerful rapper in his own right.

Look for Sole to be performing his own politically charged songs like "I Think I'm Ben Bernanke" and "Mr. Insurgent" (video below), which includes the classic lines: "You can tell they love you by the way they sic them dogs upon you / And when you're gone they gonna name a plaza after you."
