With all the media attention given to the feisty primary challenges between House Majority Leader Amy Stephens and Rep. Marsha Looper in House District 19 and Rep. Larry Liston and Owen Hill in Senate District 10, you'd get the idea that the El Paso County Republican Party has been torn apart.
That just isn't the case.
In fact, for four local seats, the Republican incumbents are so far running unopposed, as State Bill News points out.
It looks like Reps. Mark Waller, Bob Gardner and Mark Barker will be able to enjoy quiet re-elections this fall. In House District 14, Dan Nordberg, a first-time candidate and staffer for Congressman Doug Lamborn, is running unopposed as well.
Sen. Bill Cadman, likewise, appears to in for a peaceful election eve in his bid for Senate District 12.
Remember just last summer, when it appeared that no Republican in this county was going to go unchallenged?
