If you want to buy Jermaine Rogers' swell new poster commissioned by the band Primus, definitely do NOT get it from eBay.

This Wednesday at 1 p.m. MDT, fans will get a chance to order a copy of the print directly from the local artist's own website on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Fifty of them will be put on sale at $50, which is half of what one eBay poacher has already listed it for.

There will also be a very limited edition (40) of signed and numbered posters printed on "holographic sparkle foil stock." Those will go for $100.

The Springs artist announced the sale date in a "PSA FOR EBAY FLIPPERS" on his Facebook page, which addressed the ongoing issue of eBay scalpers.

"If you want to post something for sale on EBAY at inflated prices after the well has run dry, i get that. supply and demand...from gold bricks to comic books, thats how it works.
but putting a print up at inflated $$$ before I've even put it onsale? hey, that's your choice. but this time, everyone is holding back for a shot to get the print at a reasonable price directly from me...so you may find your EBAY auction twisting in the wind, out there...
do what you're gonna do...but have some STYLE...
meanwhile, to everyone else...
magic day is Wed."

Jermaine also notes that he spoke to the band, who've announced to their fanlist that anyone who wants the print should wait and get it from his site directly. All of which means prints are likely to sell out real quick. After that? Well, there's always eBay...

In the meantime, here's a brand new Primus video:
