Today, I wrote about a small expansion of Medicaid to some very poor adults without children.
At the time of my writing, officials were surprised to find that relatively few people had applied for the program, but they weren't sure just how few. Well, today the numbers have been released. Park, Teller, Elbert, and El Paso County combined have 800 people enrolled in the program thus far. More are in the process of being approved, but it's still expected that more applications are needed to fill the 10,000 slots.
So far, Denver County is leading in enrollment with 1,700 participants.
