Local News 'Better Block' off to a great start

The "Better Block" project on Pikes Peak Avenue between Nevada and Tejon Streets got off to a great start at noon today.
I headed over to check it out, just as people were beginning to file in. Better Block will run through tomorrow at noon, so there's plenty of time to see what the concept looks and feels like. While some might miss the speedy traffic and easy parking, others will likely see value in the increased space for bikers and walkers, as well as the food carts, arts and cafe seating.
