Rawkus opens tomorrow with drum 'n bass pioneer Dieselboy

Dieselboy
It's not every day that a new club opens in Colorado Springs. Not every year, actually. That's one reason why tomorrow night's grand opening of Rawkus (3506 N. Academy Blvd) is worthy of your attention.

The other is the lineup, specifically Dieselboy. Go here to read our interview with the internationally acclaimed deejay/producer/remix artist, whose 2000 "Invid" hit was the first drum ’n bass single to crack Billboard's dance chart.

Also appearing at Wednesday's show will be former Beck cohort DJ Swamp, Lea Luna, Curlyone, Thorazine, Parrish and MP3.

One quick word of warning for those intending to go: While tickets are $10 in advance through the club's website, they'll be going up to $20 at the door.

Meanwhile, here's an 84-minute, 87-track Dieselboy mix released earlier this year, appropriately entitled "Wake the Dead." Play it loud.
