• King and Gallagher will say they're going on a round-the-world cruise together after the April 2 city election.
• King will publicly apologize to Gallagher for being the one who trashed a bunch of "Gallagher for Council" signs, recently found next to a Dumpster like this:
• King will announce he's opening his biggest waterbed store ever, and Gallagher will be managing it.
But the most logical reason for this news conference is that Gallagher wants to tell voters he's throwing his support to King, the fundraising leader among all 24 Council candidates.
