City's mandatory evacuation order lifted

Posted By on Fri, Jun 14, 2013 at 3:41 PM

As of 3:30 p.m. today, the city of Colorado Springs has lifted all mandatory evacuation orders for areas within city boundaries. (Much of the Black Forest Fire is in the county, and is unaffected by this order.) Here are the new voluntary evacuation boundaries:

New Voluntary Evacuation Area: Northern Boundary: North Gate and Old North Gate Road — Southern Boundary: Interquest Parkway — Eastern Boundary: Highway 83 — Western Boundary: Voyager Parkway

**To ensure security during initial implementation of the new Voluntary Evacuation Area, citizens should re-enter the area at three locations that will be staffed by CSPD: North Gate Road and Voyager Parkway/ Serenity Park Drive and Voyager Parkway/ Old North Gate Road and Roller Coaster Road. Citizens should be prepared to show photo ID upon re-entry**
