Scenes from the Peak Arts Fund wrap party

Posted By on Thu, Aug 15, 2013 at 2:15 PM

Last night, the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR) celebrated the wrap of its second Peak Arts Fund drive, which reached its target goal of $50,000. At the party, checks were handed out to 18 local arts nonprofits.

(Each organization was guaranteed $2,000, with the leftover sum portioned off based on each's operating budget.)

The party, held in the Ivywild School gym, was emceed by Amy Sue Lambert and Sally Hybl, with entertainment by an aerialist from the Milibo Art Theatre. After the checks were presented, COPPeR executive director Christina McGrath topped off the event with a rap of her own for the "wrap" party. One line: "Please keep supporting arts and culture/Or we'll be on you like a vulture."
