Hip-hop duo the ReMINDers, whose set at last Thursday’s Indy Music Awards Festival was rightfully praised by every musician we talked to, are clearly no longer Colorado Springs’ best-kept secret.

As proof, scroll down for some slickly filmed footage from Aja and Samir’s performance earlier in the week at Oakland’s Hiero Day.

Held in honor of the Hieroglyphics' 20th anniversary, the Labor Day event featured a headlining performance by the renowned hip-hop collective, along with sets by artists ranging from Rhymesayers rapper Murs to Gorillaz producer Dan the Automator.

While the Labor Day crowd may not have been as large as the 10,000 people who waved along with the ReMINDers at this summer’s Soundset festival, it definitely came close.

Of course, the duo is getting used to all that by now. As Samir explained in our recent Indy Music Awards issue, “Once the music starts, it’s second nature.”
