Local NAACP Holds D11 Board of Education Candidate Forum

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The Colorado Springs Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is encouraging community members to attend a Candidate Forum for three D11 Board of Education Director positions. The Candidate Forum will be held 6PM, Thursday, October 17, in the Carnegie Room, Penrose Library, 20 N Cascade Ave Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

In keeping with the local NAACP chapter’s mission to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination, the chapter plans to question D11 Board of Education candidates Charlie Bobbitt, Al Loma, LuAnn Long, Jim Mason, Linda Mojer, and James Tucker, on their views towards educating all of our children.
