Local Food Luminary Wall debuts tomorrow at Seeds

Posted By on Tue, Jan 28, 2014 at 4:23 PM

Seeds Community Café will unveil a new Local Food Luminary Wall tomorrow night at a pop-up dinner co-hosted by Full Circle Cuisine and Seeds.

Fittingly, the subject of the first installment of this mural, located on the eatery's patio, is longtime local activist and rancher Mike Callicrate of Ranch Foods Direct.

Area artists Raven and Bre Morningstar are behind the colorful work.

According to a press release, RFD's Eryn Taylor and Seeds' Beth Alexander are behind the mural concept at the cafe, calling it more than a mural, but "a vision for the community."

In the future, the wall will likely honor other partnering organizations such as Bristol Brewing Company, Colorado Coffee Merchants and Pikes Peak Urban Gardens.

Tomorrow night's dinner, which is sold out, will be the first in a monthly series, honoring these luminaries with new installments to the mural.

Purchase a ticket for a future dinner at 473-8206 and keep an eye on Seeds' social media pages for updates.
