At the corner of DIY and corporate weed

It's about as far as one could get from the Classical Cannabis concerts we reported on a few weeks back.
Sacramento hardcore crew Trash Talk and Odd Future rapper/producer Left Brain are putting on a series of free, all-ages concerts, all sponsored by a weed vaporizer company. And they're making a stop in Denver on June 24.

Somewhere.

That's the thing; the venues won't be announced until a few days before the actual show. Trash Talk and Left Brain could be playing at the Ogden, the Gothic, the Roxy, any of them. Apparently, the only way to find out is to RSVP on the sponsor's site. This kind of Do-It-Yourself is usually relegated to garage tours, but Odd Future has a history of taking offbeat projects and making them happen – such as the band's brick-and-mortar merch store in L.A.

With everything about this show – hardcore punk, alternative rap, and weed-industry sponsorship – being firmly rooted in the cultural underground, a certain degree of sketchiness is inevitable. For those interested in rolling the Denver-venue dice, go to gpen.com/freetour to RSVP.
