. He's only spent about $15,700.
Duncan Bremer, an attorney
who served as a county commissioner from 1995 to 2003, has received money from 28 people, but most of it has come from four people, according to a recent campaign finance report.
He got $6,000
from his brother, Paul Bremer
of Chevy Chase, Md., who was appointed special envoy to Iraq after the 2003 military invasion
and served as the head of the Coalition Provisional Authority
. He also was given $7,000
each from Gene Dunston
and Matthew Dunston
, real estate developers from Monument. Another $5,000
came from the Mark Bogosian Trust
, of Colorado Springs.

and spent $30,008
The treasurer job is now held by Bob Balink
, who didn't seek re-election. In January, he was introduced as the state GOP's treasurer in the news release below.

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.—Today, Colorado Republican Committee Chairman Ryan Call announced that El Paso County Treasurer Bob Balink will take the helm as the Colorado GOP’s new treasurer.
“Bob has an outstanding reputation and a proven history of working on behalf of the people of El Paso County and the Republican Party,” Call said. “We look forward to utilizing his expertise as the GOP works toward victory in 2014 and beyond.”
"I look forward to contributing to the efforts of the Committee as we work to help get our Republican candidates elected and advance our message of fiscal responsibility and opportunity for all," Balink said.
Balink will replace Christine Mastin, who is resigning her position to focus more of her time and attention to her immigration law practice and to the international adoption of her new daughter from Ethiopia.
