Posted By on Tue, Sep 2, 2014 at 10:12 AM

One more show of support for the tiny-home trend: EcoCabins earned the People's Choice Award at the 2014 Parade of Homes in the under $300,000 category.

The Parade Model will now remain on display through October's end at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry.

—— ORIGINAL POST: THURSDAY, JULY 24, 3:15 P.M. ——

We reported in last year's SimpliCity guide on the tiny-home movement, which gains more and more traction nationally, whether for eco-, financial- or aesthetically-minded reasons. It was even recently featured on the cover of Time magazine

Now, between Aug. 1 and 17, EcoCabins, a local maker of small, sustainably-built dwellings, will be showing off a model structure during the Parade of Homes

The unit will be available for viewing daily during that timeframe, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry.
